Jenkins, who lives in near squalor, said that he loved being around animals and that he has always felt that some sort of animal magnetism attracted animals to him. Jenkins, a 29-year-old, who is getting his masters degree in civil engineering said he sometimes felt like he was “born to take in unwanted pets.”

Though he says he has a hard time keeping up with the needs of all the animals, it’s his labour of love. Jenkins then stared into the middle distance, carressing one of his four hamsters, and wondered where it all went wrong.
