Catchy beat unable to wake Michael Jackson from grave
Sad news from the music community rang out thursday when Michael Jackson slipped into a coma and died Thursday afternoon and was unable to be revived with toe-tapping pop hook.
His record company had learned of his demise and was ecstatic to recapture the magic of his circa 1982 mega-hit “thriller’. Sony Records quickly assembled a production team and hurried to Jackson’s still-warm corpse.
“Shit, do you know how much Vincent Price’s day rate is, I’m ruined.” said line producer Jerry Rinagles when his hopeful music video crashed when it became apparent that Jacko would not rise from the dead and lead a troupe of back-up zombies in a rousing dance routine.
Jackson’s death is just more bad news for the late night talk show scene, Who having lost classic sidekick Ed McMahon this week was dealt another blow when nearly all of Jay Leno’s schtick was laid to rest. Leno, who is well known for his ability to tell Jacko jokes, also shared this sad day with the entertainment community when most of his joke material involving ‘little boys pants and Kmart’ was scrapped in favor of lighter fare. Leno’s writers were unavailable for comment but sources close to the situation who asked not to be identified said, “We are shocked and saddened that his favorite joke subject was removed from his comedic wheelhouse, involving tired unfunny humor.”
On a positive note in the late night talk show circuit, Johnny Carson was putting the final touches on his first Tonight show lineup in heaven.
Carson seemed delighted when he took to the stage Thursday night, ” Stay tuned, We’ve got Ed McMahon joining us, Farrah Fawcett coming up and Michael Jackson as our musical guest.”
We had to bump Abe Vigoda,” said Carson, “Anytime you have to bump Vigoda, you know your show is huge.
Jackson joins his music in the grave, which died 20 years ago.

There was an episode of the Tonight Show that had Carson, MJ, and Farrah Fawcett, all on at the same time. I kid you not.
I think 9/19/79 was the date I saw. Someone looked it up.
Time to sell that mint condition vinyl Thriller record while people are still emotionally wrecked to know that they are paying way too much for it.
